1 cup creamy peanut butter (not all-natural)
2 Tbs. butter or margarine
2 cups powdered sugar
1 Nestle Butterfinger Candy (or substitute with the crushed Heath Toffee Chips found by the chocolate chips).
2 cups Premier White Morsels
3 Tab. shortening
2 pkg. Butterfinger BB's Candies or Whoppers cut in half
1 small tube red decorator icing (I found at the craft store)
Line 2 baking sheets with wax paper. Beat peanut butter and butter in large mixer bowl until creamy. Beat in powdered sugar until mixture holds together and is moistened. Stir in chopped Butterfinger or Heath candy. Shape into 1 inch eyeballs. Place on wax paper sheets. Place the cookie sheet in the freezer for about 1 hour. About 10 min. before you pull the eyeballs from the freezer, prepare the coating. Melt morsels and shortening in large, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on med-high heat for 1 minute 30 seconds. Stir... If morsels need a few more sec. continue heating in 10 sec. intervals until they are smooth. Get eyeballs from the freezer and start dipping. I do one eyeball at a time. I use a regular spoon to roll it in the white chocolate an move it back to the waxed paper sheet. Then place the Butterfinger BB or Whopper on immediately or the chocolate will harden and the center of the eyeball won't stick. When you are finished rolling and sticking then you can paint on the blood shot veins. Have fun! These tasty ball can be used for any day if you leave the center of the eyeball and the red veins off. Tint the chocolate and be creative!
