Fettucini Alfredo Sauce ...Meal

Sauce:
1/2 cup butter or less (1 cube) 
6-8 oz. of Parmesan cheese (1 & 1/2 cups)
1/8 teaspoon of garlic
2 cups of heavy cream (pint)
1 teaspoon of salt
pepper to taste
Pasta: 1 lb. fettuccine or bow tie pasta
Optional : chicken breasts cooked and cubed
1 lb. frozen California or Normandy veggies cooked
As you boil pasta of choice...Make the sauce:
Melt the butter and add the cream. Bring to a boil than wire whisk. Add the other ingredients while continuing to whisk. Cook on low until blended. Remove from heat. It will thicken as it cools.
I add chicken and veggies to make this a complete meal. This stores well and reheats great if you need to make it ahead of time.
